ACCESS ALL AREAS IS BACK ON MON JULY 3RD, WITH A MENTAL HEALTH IN MUSIC SPECIAL WITH BLACK LIVES IN MUSIC LIVE FROM PPL HQ, LONDON W1

ACCESS ALL AREAS is an up-close and personal music seminar, industry networking event and new artist showcase that aims to be your “Triple-A Pass To The Music Industry”. This unique music seminar is back live from PPL, 1 Upper James St, London W1F 9DE in central London on Monday, July 3rd from 630-930pm!

ACCESS ALL AREAS announces their Mental Heath special with Black Lives in Music “Mental Heath in the Music Industry”, including 4 top panellists and 3 emerging artist performances from our artist development program! This 3-hour event will be moderated by our new Triple A resident moderator Fats Moeva. She will be speaking to our panel of experts on mental health in the music industry. They will be taking part in a conversation on this emotive and often taboo topic and discussing the pressures on both talent in front of the mic and on those working behind the scenes. A 2019 study found that 73 per cent of independent music makers experience anxiety and depression in relation to their work. The panel will be discussing the mental health crisis in the music industry in 2023.

We will be asking the panel do lifestyle factors and irregular work conditions and pay contribute to poor mental health in the industry?

Should labels draft mental health support into artist’s contracts?

Is the power of social media a major contributing factor to the pressures artists face?

How much does the pressures of touring affect an artist’s mental health?

Is racism in the UK music industry a contributing factor in the mental health of people of colour?

How can mental illnesses affect a person’s physical health?

Are the cost-of-living crisis, alongside other factors including the ongoing impact of the pandemic and Brexit major contributing factors to the increase of mental health issues in the industry?

Finally, what support is in place for those suffering from mental health issues and what can the industry do?

The formidable panel we have assembled from across the UK Music Industry includes Psychotherapist, and racial trauma expert Franchesca Olaifa BSc MA, Vanessa Maria, DJ and Mental Heath advocate at Foundation FM, DJ/producer & studio engineer, Housepoet and finally, Music psychologist and academic, Natasha Hendry. Plus, more special guests are to be announced!

But that’s not all; our resident DJ will host the networking sections of the event, Pharaoh G from BBC 1Xtra, with our AAA new artist showcase features exclusive live performances from three unsigned UK artists, all from our artist development program, including LDEEA, YTWO WOOLY & BILLY O’ B.

So on Monday July 3rd, come and hear from some of the biggest names in the game at ACCESS ALL AREAS; so whether you’re an artist, producer, songwriter, DJ, musician, manager, engineer or budding music exec trying to find out more about this topic, or maybe you just want to connect with more of your industry peers this is a music webinar for the next generation of the music business.

This event will guarantee to be a sell-out, so make sure you pick up your tickets on sale now from Eventbrite UK.
