ACCESS ALL AREAS announces their Hip-Hop 50 special “Celebrating 50 Years of Hip-Hop Culture”, including 5 top panellists and 3 emerging artist performances! Your new Triple A resident moderator Ace from BBC 1Xtra will moderate this 3-hour event. He will speak to our experienced panel of Hip Hop industry creatives and execs who cover the worlds of journalism, DJ’ing, radio, fashion, record labels and artist management!
They will participate in a conversation celebrating 50 years of Hip-Hop music & culture! The panel will be discussing what Hip-Hop is to them and how they first got into the culture? What is the musical lineage of the music from Reggae and sound system culture through to today? The global success of Hip-Hop and the rise of UK Rap from 80s through to today; Hip Hop fashion and its influence on the mainstream; History of Breakdance and Hip-Hop dance with Breaking at the 2024 Olympics; Graffiti art and its influence on art today; Finally, the current state of Hip-Hop and the future of the culture?
Our formidable panel of creatives and execs we have assembled covers the full spectrum of the UK Music Industry, including the MD of MiZermillion Entertainment, Shane Derozario; Cultural Commentator and consultant Scully (No Signal Radio/BE83 Music); DJ Esi, who is the host of the Rap Show on Kiss Fresh & Founder of Satelitte LDN; Music Exec & Fashion Stylist Neesha Sharma and finally Tee Max who is a legendary British Music Photographer who is showcasing some of his classic photos of Hip-Hop icons at this edition of ACCESS ALL AREAS.
But that’s not all; a special guest DJ will host the networking sections of the event, Rampage’s own Treble T from BBC 1Xtra, with our AAA new artist showcase featuring exclusive live performances from three unsigned UK MC’s, including Briz, Courage & Parris Wright. And as a special treat, we bring you a classic Hip-Hop photo exhibition from legendary British photographer Tee-Max! He will showcase some of his favourite pics featuring icons such as Biggie, Nas and Busta Rhymes from his three decades in the music industry!
